Why it matters
The highest-risk moments are often the least visible.
Bedroom falls are common, most are unwitnessed, and faster context can change what happens next. Safety with Dignity puts that proof up front, then explains how dignity and privacy are protected.
How it works
A quiet safety loop, not constant watching.
Safety with Dignity helps staff identify a possible unwitnessed bedroom fall, respond quickly, and understand what led to it. The system is event-based, consent-based, and designed to support caregivers rather than replace them.

The care loop
From consent to a better care plan.
- 01
Activate
Start with consent
Residents and families choose whether to participate, and that choice can be changed later.
- 02
Detect
Watch for on-the-ground events
Bedroom-focused sensors look for possible falls where many unwitnessed events happen.
- 03
Notify
Alert staff quickly
Care staff receive an event alert so help can arrive sooner, including overnight.
- 04
Review
Understand what happened
The team reviews the short event window. There is no live stream and no audio.
- 05
Adapt
Update the care plan
Insights can guide room setup, routines, mobility support, and follow-up conversations.

Privacy & consent
Designed around the questions families ask first.
Families should not have to choose between privacy and faster help. Participation is optional, coverage is limited, and staff are alerted to events instead of watching a live feed.
- Consent-based participation
- Bedroom-focused coverage
- Never bathrooms or common areas
- No live streaming
- No audio recording
- Non-event video is automatically deleted
What families can expect
More context after a fall, and clearer next steps.

Faster help
Staff can respond sooner when a possible fall happens privately or overnight.
Clearer answers
Post-event review gives the team more context than guesswork or conflicting memories.
Better follow-through
Care plans, room setup, and routines can be adjusted around what actually happened.

How Our Safety System Works
This short video walks through consent, detection, staff notification, review, and care-plan follow-through.
Watch the OverviewFrequently asked questions
The privacy and care questions to ask on tour.
Is my loved one always being recorded?
No. Monitoring is event-based. The system records a short window before and after a detected fall. If no event is detected, non-event video is automatically deleted.
Does this mean cameras are on all the time?
No. Coverage is bedroom-focused, consent-based, and not a live stream. Cameras are never placed in bathrooms or common areas, and no audio is recorded.
What happens after a fall is detected?
Staff receive an alert, respond to help the resident, review the event securely, adapt the care plan or room setup, and communicate next steps with the family.
Can we opt in later or change our mind?
Yes. Participation is optional. Families can talk through the program during move-in, opt in later, or revisit the decision if preferences change.
Does this replace caregivers?
No. SafelyYou supports the care team. It gives staff clearer context around unwitnessed events so human response can be faster and better informed.
Does this cost extra?
Ask the Gardens on Quail team during your visit. They can explain how the Safety with Dignity program fits into the community's broader safety and care approach.
Talk it through in person
See the broader care setting and ask how SafelyYou would work for your loved one.
A visit gives you room to ask about consent, privacy, alerts, fall response, family communication, and how the team adapts care after an incident.
